Technical Data:66% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc,. Aged 16 months in 60/40 split of old and one-year French oak barrels. 12 months additional bottle aging prior to release. Appellation: Okanagan Valley VQA, British Columbia, Canada.
Description:Intense dark crimson red color . Aromas of medium intensity with plums, liquorice, cedar and smokey tobacco. Quite complex but requires plenty of aeration.A dry wine with a medium bodied bit dense. In the palate this wine is comparable to any young Bordeaux, it has lots of chocolate, mocha, tobacco flavours integrated with cherry and plums. Lots of fruit and long aftertaste but needs minimum 1-2 hours aeration. The wine shows a medium to high tannin level. Needs a few years to settle down. Those who wait will be rewarded.
