Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc'04, Sonoma County, CA, USA



Lively and refreshing blended Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma County.

Technical Data:Blended Sauvignon Blanc. 76% Sauvignon Blanc, 23 % Sauvignon Musque ("sibling" of Sauvignon Blanc) and 1% Sémillon. 10% of the wine was fermented in French oak Barrel.

Description:Bright pale yellow color. Full-bodied nose and palate. Very flowery nose. Sweet entrance then dry finish. The crisp and lively palate appears very flowery at first with some honeysuckle flavors and a touch of honey then it develops tropical fruits flavors with melon and citrus fruits laced with some grassiness and some fig flavors on the mid palate.

Food Pairing & Service:Fresh and lively enough to be drunk as an Aperitif but could also accompany very well light fresh fish or calamari. Serve chilled.
