J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon'02, CA, USA
Unusual taste for a Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
Technical Data:Composition of the blend 78.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Syrah, 4.1% Merlot, 2.6% Petite Verdot, 2.5% Syrah, 1.7% Zinfandel, 1.4% Alicante Bouchet and 1.9% other red varietals. Aged 14 to 16 months in combination of American and French oak.
Description:Ruby red color. Fragant dark cherry on the nose with hints of raspberry laced with cocoa characters and vanilla. Full-bodied wine with a rich structure, plenty of dark fruits flavors, some spice and oak and a lingering finish.
Food Pairing & Service:Suitable with all game and red meat, as well as tomato-based dishes.
Score:6/10 Not my favourite from this famous winery.
